Orchid Project: Female Genital Cutting

This film lives online and was released at the time of the huge Girl Summit 2014, #YouthforChange, and Girl Effect Live, driven by the Department For International Development.

The objective behind this film is to inform and educate about the taboo reality of female cutting (FGC). This practice affects 125 million women and girls worldwide, and 3 million
girls each year are at risk of being cut in Africa alone, many aged five years old or younger.

Orchid Project supports remarkable  They support a grassroots movement of communities who are choosing to end cutting. An education-based, human rights led approach has led
to over 7,000 communities abandon FCC, and Orchid Project want to support that change. Their clear, unwavering objective is to end FGC completely.
